The hotel should deliver business facilities and services. This is applicable to Hotels with easy access from International airports (maximum reach of 30 minutes) with convention / meeting facilities for minimum 100 – 150 pax.

The hotel should deliver acceptable service with ac / non ac accommodation and with a reasonable price which are competitive for Budget Travelers. The Hotel also should have minimum catering facility / café or restaurant for the inhouse guests.

Resorts

Leading Beach Resort

The resort should not be part of an inhabited island. The resort should have a beach inclusive of Beach Front Rooms and F&B Facilities located on the beach.

Leading Luxury Resort

A Luxury Resort operating within the luxury niche and the service delivery should be of a high quality.

Leading Dive Resort

The Resort should have exclusive scuba diving facilities and conducting diving courses. In addition, the resort should be promoting as a Dive Resort with facilities of Day and Night Dives with minimum PADI / SSI 3 Dive Masters and 2 Instructors as in-house staff. The resort should also have emergency facilities and services to cater for diving accidents.

Leading Surf Resort

The Resort should have exclusive service providing trips to surf breaks on daily schedule. In addition, the resort should be promoting as a Surf Resort with facilities and minimum 3 - 4 Surf Guides / Instructors as in-house staff. The resort should also have emergency facilities and services to cater for surfing accidents.

Leading Eco Resort

The Resort should have records of Programs, services, facilities and initiatives on promoting and encouraging eco-tourism.

Leading Family Resort

The Resort should facilities, programs and services specialized for families. Eg. Family bungalows, interconnecting rooms, baby sitters, child care centers, specialized food for children, entertainment for families travelling with children.

Leading Private Island

The Private Island should have exclusive transport facility to the Island, and should be with most exclusive facilities, maximum 6 – 8 rooms and services with minimal number of staff.
